Fun English
English is one language that I can. Not only can but I love the language. And now I want to share my experience about how much fun learning English.
In the past, when I was 4th grade in elementary school, I did not like learning English because I thought English is strange language. How can, "book" was read "buk". The letter and pronunciation is different. Maybe it's because my first language is Indonesian
When I was 5th grade in elementary school, my father bought VCD (Video Compact Disk) containing Britney Spears songs. I did not know what the reason my dad bought it for me. Because I had already bought it, I play that VCD. And you know what happens next, I very LOVE that song.
I play that song every day after school. I can repeat that VCD until 3 times a day. Incidentally the VCD was karaoke version so that I can follow the song even though the spelling is sometimes wrong. I also wrote the lyrics of that songs using the buttons play n pause in VCD player. Sometimes, I also was following Britney spear's dancing and singing. But, I feel it is not complete, if you sing without knowing its meaning. So I decided to interpret word by word by looking in the dictionary. Even though it make me tired but I enjoyed it. Because, I was curious with the lyrics. Although there are words that can not be found in my dictionary (perhaps because my dictionary is not complete) but at least I understand what is conveyed from the song. \^^/
From that experience, I become like the English language. I learn English not only through the songs but also through books. I mean not that thick English books (because I'm lazy if you see a thick book :D) but with comics or story book. Learning that way is more FUN. We get the story and get the knowledge.
English language gives a lot of advantages especially in globalization, English is must. It is never too late to learn. You can learn English in different ways or you can study in ENGLISH FIRST COURSE. Keep studying Fighting! ^ ^ /
